Product concept — illustrative figures, not a live filing
Not an accountant? You're in the right place.
New tax rules can feel like a lot. Especially when all you want is to know what you need to do next.
We're building Quarter Day around that feeling. Less accounting language. A clearer path from your records to your quarterly update.
Focused on quarterly updates — not a replacement for every part of your tax affairs.
Small steps. A clearer quarter.
Record what came in. And what went out.
Add income and expenses in plain English. No need to learn a whole accounting system first.
Check a clear summary.
See your figures together. The planned checks flag obvious errors so you can review them before sending.
Send your update.
Direct submission to HMRC is the intended next step, once recognition and the live service are ready.
Your year-end tax return is a separate requirement. We will explain how that part will be handled before subscriptions open.
Your trade. Your properties. Not your next accounting degree.
Working for yourself.
On the tools, on the road or at your desk. A plain-English approach to your self-employment records and quarterly updates.
Letting a property.
One rental or a few. Keep the proposed price simple, without adding another software charge for each property.
Do both? The planned subscription brings your supported self-employment and property income together.
One subscription. Not one per property.
One planned price for one person's supported businesses and rental properties. No tiers. No add-ons. No per-property charges.
- One self-employed business
- Three rental properties
- A business and rental properties
— the same planned price.
£8/month
Or £80/year, paid annually — save £16.
Proposed pricing for one person's supported self-employment and property income. Final terms, supported scenarios and VAT treatment will be confirmed before purchase.

What will Quarter Day cost?

Will I still need to submit a year-end tax return?
Yes. Quarterly updates are summaries of income and expenses, not a replacement for the year-end tax return. Quarter Day is being built for quarterly updates; support for the year-end return has not yet been confirmed. Read HMRC's guidance →
Do I need to be an accountant to use it?
Quarter Day is being designed for people who are not accountants, with plain-English entry and a straightforward quarterly update process. That does not mean professional tax advice will never be needed — your circumstances and other income may require additional help.
Is Quarter Day recognised by HMRC?
Completing HMRC recognition is part of the launch plan. We will confirm the exact recognition status and supported filing capabilities before the service opens. We are not presenting this pre-launch website as a live HMRC-connected product.
